A website is more than an online brochure, it’s a tool for conversion. We recently partnered with a fintech startup looking to improve lead generation and reduce bounce rates.
Understanding Goals and Users
We started by meeting the leadership team. The questions we asked included: What actions do we want users to take? Who are the primary and secondary audiences? What concerns do they have about our offerings?
We also analyzed existing analytics. Bounce rates were high on landing pages, and users struggled with navigation. Mapping the user journey highlighted friction points that needed addressing.
Wireframes and Information Architecture
We created wireframes for desktop and mobile, focusing on hierarchy, clarity, and flow. Key decisions included placing CTAs above the fold, simplifying the menu structure, and prioritizing content based on user intent.
Visual Design and Prototyping
Once wireframes were validated, we developed high-fidelity prototypes. We focused on clean typography, consistent color palette, and visual cues that guided users naturally. Microinteractions, hover states, and responsive layouts enhanced usability without distracting from the main goals.
Testing and Iteration
We ran usability tests with internal staff and select users. Feedback helped refine navigation labels, form flows, and button placements. Iteration ensured the final website was intuitive and aligned with real user expectations.
Outcome
Post-launch analytics showed 40% lower bounce rate and 25% increase in lead submissions. Users reported a more seamless experience, and marketing campaigns performed better thanks to clear landing pages.
Conclusion
A well-designed website blends strategy, clarity, and aesthetics. Understanding user behavior and iterating based on feedback ensures measurable business impact.
